The Heritage Building and Restoration Building Trades Directory has now moved to a new Domain

Trades and Materials.com is the new location for this rapidly growing and expanding service.

All existing Registered Users may Login either here or the new domain until the end of March 2010. After this date Registered Users may continue to edit and control existing details on the new domain, but the Heritage Building and Restoration.co.uk database will be deleted so that none of our Registered Users will have to concern themselves about data being duplicated. All existing Registered User data has been migrated to the new domain.

Although the Trades and Materials Directory is now live, we are keeping the Directory updated in this Domain until the end of March 2010 for the benefit of our regular visitors who have bookmarked this site.

If you wish to register with the Directory you can follow THIS LINK which will take you to the Registration Page at Trades and Materials.com.

If you are a Registered User you will be able to Log In at This Login Page or alternatively the Login facility on every Trades and Materials.com website page.

We hope you enjoy the new Website.

Find a Trade E-mail

‘Find a Trade’ is a free on-line service for finding, contacting or requesting estimates from building or trades services in your area. The priority is to find you providers within the first section of your postcode.

If you are looking to get an estimate, or just more information about a building or trade provider in your local area, you no longer have to search through the telephone books, Internet directories or telephone and e-mail several providers.

Send details of your required project or inquiry through this website to the relevant building or trade service you have chosen from your local area.
Contacted providers can then e-mail you with an estimate or contact you by telephone to discuss your inquiry. We are not using the word quote, unlike some methods of contact by Internet sites, we have wide ranging building experience which tells us that a quote is not possible without viewing the task required. But provided with good information, a provider can estimate your project cost so you can decide if you wish to proceed towards a formal quote with a viewing and assessment of the required project.

The service is free to use, we charge no commission to the builders or trades and we do not charge a fee to the service provider before they estimate for posted inquiries. These methods tend to get response from well outside the postal area. The advantage of having a local provider is you are more likely to have heard of them or possibly the referral if you are requesting references.

When you require a trade it is usually best to keep it local. See here for the 'Terms of Service' Directory Entries comply with prior to submission.
